That is beautiful work, Pete! You'll have your Skylite flying in no time. Very nice.

Thanks guys for the comments. So I have the wing on my bench in the fixture. I have the ladder consisting of cross braces and drag braces Cleco'd on one side only. Problem; Instructions are for plans builder building the ribs more or less on the wing. Plans say rivet the top side of the ladder and flip it over to rivet the back side b e f o r e installing the ribs. Ribs were prebuilt CGS ultralight ribs so some have to be put in place before I flip the wing over to fasten the bottom side of the ladder to the spars. Since the wing has considerable wash out, this can get a bit tricky to hold the twist. Now I have to figure how to hold the proper twist after I flip the wing. Guess I'll have to get a couple saw horses to flip the wing onto. OOPS! My wife parks where I need to put the wing. SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED insists on parking in her side of the garage. What to do?

Well here is what you do when you can't put your wing on saw horses. You make "bunk beds". The added benefit is you don't have to move the junk on your table. Patent pending.

Tom & Ed,
I'm still on the right wing panel. I have the wing tank mount figured out and am working on that. Wing tip is nearly installed. When you think your about done with something there is more to do. I'm really enjoying the build. Of course, if I spent less time flying I'd be further along. I understand about the cold hangar Tom. Sometimes when I go out to the garage on the morning, it's as cold as 65 degrees there ;-)

You're killing me, Pete! ;D It gets to maybe 45° during the day here - and it'll get a lot worse before it gets better. The real kick in the pants is that at one time I lived in Dallas.
Glad to hear you are enjoying the build. I can't think of anything more gratifying than flying an aircraft you built.
Ed, thanks for the info. I had read one comment on another forum where the poster complained about no UV resistance in the nylon wheels - but I'll be using wheel pants so I'm not concerned. It's good to know they worked ok for you. 99.5% of the time I will be on our paved runway. Sure like the weight savings with these wheels.

Yes, wheelpants keep most of the UV away, but Zytel has Carbon black in it, which should be a deterrent as well. Ed

Rack to stack wings so I can start on the ailerons on my bench. A clean work area is the sign of a sick mind.

Another view of my organized work area. Been hard to work lately since it's been in the mid 70's for awhile. Flying weather you know. And gun shows. Damn I hate Texas.
