If you haven't been to Lake Whitney, TX, it's a short runway, 2000' and has a hump in the middle to make it more fun. Also, there will be powered parachutes. They usually fly early in the morning and right before sunset, but keep an eye out for them. They're slow!! There's a big campsite between the runway and the lake. I'm going to call the Park Ranger today to see if I can reserve it. It's $10/night to camp, plus $5/day entrance fee per person. "Primitive site fees are for sleeping under airplanes flown in, overnight at boat ramp, or overnight fishing. Park contains 50 X 2000 linear foot paved landing-strip and a 50 X 3200 linear foot taxi way. Contact the park to make arrangements." From the BARF Prez:
