Most of you are aware by now of the recent management change at EAA. This was shocking, but not unexpected, and as the President of SAA, my mission is to take a positive look at this and realize that this is a new era for EAA, and there will be more changes before it all calms down. In this case, the change is good for the EAA's health, and I hope that the organization becomes more aware of its heritage and original values, the same values Paul Poberezny instilled in SAA. That will be good for all of aviation. SAA will continue to remain non combative , and hopes are for EAA's continued success. We wish Rod well in his new ventures. Ed Fisher, President, Sport Aviation Association

Good comments, Pete....We need to get the word out, in a positive way, that we exist to help aviation. All of the aviation organizations need to help each other, because as a whole, aviation people represent a very small percentage of humans in the world. There's room for all of us......Ed

I should have thought of this before, but I'm going to the Reklaw, Texas fly in this weekend. It's the biggest Texas fly in. We could have set up a table with some SAA info and sign up forms. Still could I guess. Could have given a free "To Fly" to sign ups. If you want to you could overnight a few along with some sign up forms.

Pete, There is a flyer in your newsletter, if you could make a some copies of that, SAA could benefit. Right now I have to schedule a re-printing of newsletters, if I am to have more to hand out...Ed

Sounds like a plan. I'll make some copies and hand them out. I'll keep my eyes open for other opportunities. I've been talking up the SAA @ other fly-ins since Oshkosh. I'll do a show and tell @ the next EAA Chapter 187 meeting.
