Fantastic! I've been reading several back issues... and they are superb. You can't find stuff that's in there in other aviation publications today, and I hope the revived version will make such material available again!

Yes, we intend to eventually replicate the feel and content of the original magazines. This first publication, however, will be in newsletter form. When the treasury warrants the more expensive paper and printing, we will have the full magazine.....Ed

As of today, and with a huge effort by Member Jeff Lange, we have our Fall 2012 "TO FLY" publication to the printers. Being packaged in batches, some of you will be receiving your copy by the end of next week. I apologize for the fact that we are a bit behind schedule, lots of outside forces got involved in slowing Jeff and I down. In the end, I believe you will enjoy the publication. Thank you for your patience....Ed Fisher

Thanks for the hard work, Jeff and Ed! After 20+ years in printing, I know what it takes to put together text and photos into a nice publication, and then distribute it all over the country. Great cover - nothing says Grass Roots like a Cub.

Jeff and Ed, THANK YOU!!! I love the cover! Perfect! Can't wait to see the rest. I know it was a lot of work. We just returned from Flabob tonight, what a great group of guys, and a lot of encouragement and support for SAA! We got to fly my Dad's old Fairchild 24W while there. He sold it in 63 and the first time I ever got to see it in person, its alive and well! Thats another story though, Thanks again Butch

Butch......You said it....'That's another story'....Maybe a Story you could write for a future issue of 'To Fly'?? Would be cool if you could find family photos from the 1960's, of yourself and the Fairchild.....Very Cool, Thanks!!...Ed

Thanks guys. I am seriously looking forward to reading this soon. I am getting frustrated with having to scan through the first 100 pages of Sport Aviation before getting to useful home built aircraft information.

Terry, Thanks for your interest in SAA. We hope that our publication is entertaining and useful to the Little Guy of aviation. Several articles are already in the works for the Winter/spring 2013 magazine... Tomorrow, I am told, will be the first batch back from the printer, by a week from today, they all should be in the mail, on the way to members homes...Ed Fisher

Thanks, Ed and Jeff. As a newsletter editor/writer/layout guy/photog/graphic artist myself, I know how much work is involved in putting together a printed rag. May this one be the first of many!
Thanks again,
Chris
