Because of fuel availability issues at our local field, my Sonerai and my Skylite will both run mogas. If you are transporting mogas, what kind of tank(s) are you using? What kind of pump? Have you run into issues with either transporting or with fueling your aircraft?

Tom, My Bitts and Skylite are both run on Mogas. We have a station here that guarantees no ethanol, and I use the 5 gallon rotationally moulded plastic cans, and have a small alligator grip wire about 3 ft long that I attach to the can, and the airframe, before fueling. The Skylite is easy, as I have a round hole in the side of the windshield to stick my long neck funnel thru...Just don't spill fuel on the lexan windshield, it crazes and eats it, quickly. For transport, I tie the cans in the front corner of the bed of the pickup truck.....Ed

Thanks Ed. I think I'll use the same, but with shut-off valve spigots on the cans.

Yes, Ben, I know a guy that has been doing that also. He had it strapped to a furniture dolly for moving around. There are a few pilots here at home that have purchased these square aluminum tanks, with crank pumps, wheels, and ground wire. Very nice setup. Ed
