With things as they are recently, I have decided to see if there is any interest from anyone in the following airplanes/projects.......In addition to the Wood SL-1 listed in another ad, I have the flyable 'Lil Bitts biplane, A basic Jr. Ace project, A restorable Mong Sport Biplane, and the prototype 'Sport Fleet' project available.....Anyone serious about talking about buying them, and needing to know the asking prices, contact me at raceair77@gmail.com....Ed Fisher

Well, the Sport Fleet sounds interesting! But, I want you to finish it Ed and offer a quick build kit. Not all of us are capable of finishing a one off prototype ;-) The world NEEDS more 2 place Light Sport biplanes.

Ed,
Is the Jr. Ace a Pober or Corben? I don't have a good way to get it from SC to VA, but it's good to know the difference.

The Jr. ace is a Corben...with the way narrow fuselage...It is just a basic welded fuse, no cabanas, no tabs, fittings, or control system. there is a set of Cub gear Vees that go with it also...they are probably worth half of the asking price of 600 bucks....The fuse is in storage at my Dad's in northeast Ohio....Ed

Pete.....Its about time and money...Theres lot of work in a project like the Sport Fleet!! I doubt a legal 49% complete 'kit' could be built that would be considered 'quick build'....

I still would like to see the Sport Fleet finished. Kitfox and Rans are pretty well quick build.

I would as well...we shall see....One interesting thing about the Sport Fleet is that many of the wing parts have already been developed, and a wing kit would not be that much of a financial effort to bring to the table. The problem is, there is still a ton of work in the airframe, and the engine expense alone will be over ten grand. I demonstrated with the 'Lil Bitts biplane, its easy to get 700 manhours of drafting time into a set of construction drawings and manual, and you need to sell many, many sets of plans to just pay that back!!....Ed

What engine do you plan to use in the Sport Fleet?? What is the target gross? Do you plan to use tubing spars? I could help with the cad (free) I have a few thousand hours designing railroad tracks on AutoCad. Don't do 3D but might lighten your burden a bit.

Pete...The Sport Fleet was designed for the Corvair, Continental 0-200, Lycoming o-235/0-290, Rotec radial, etc. Probably the least expensive engine in this group is the corvair, and definitely, at 24 grand, the Rotec radial is the most pricey, but also would look the best on the nose. The gross weight with the corvair is 1300 lbs. The spars are aluminum I beams. Of course, as with all my designs, the prototype flys and is de-bugged before the drawings are even started. I can't commit to continuing with a new prototype until the last one I did starts to show some financial success!!!!
